The Turning Point…

When Real People Real Thoughts (RpRt) was launched, the vision was to create a blog which served as a safe environment, a place to be motivated and encouraged. The goal was to just write about issues and topics that all persons may be faced with, not targeting a specific audience. While RpRt will still strive to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all, this blog is being transformed to mainly share the good new; the gospel. This blog now serves to teach about and encourage growth in Christ. In doing so, RpRt hopes to share God’s love and encourage all persons to be confident in the fact that we are expressions of God’s unconditional and unfathomable love.

You may all be wondering why the sudden change.. well, here’s why:

When I made the decision that I wanted to take my writing to the next level and start a blog, I wanted to impact lives. I wanted to share God’s love and his greatness, and just let you all know all he is to me and all he could be to you, but something made me believe that just writing about God or making him the focus of my blog was leaving out those who don’t know him. It was as if I was trying to play safe. But, how is keeping a good thing from those in need of any benefit? I bet you’re all asking that (haha). Funny enough, in almost all my blogs before this one, God finds a way to make himself evident because truth is, I was only able to start this blog by his grace. He gave me the courage to get up one day make the honest decision to share my thoughts and my stories with you all, so how could I ever consciously omit to speak about the one in whom my existence lies, the one who gave me the storied which I share?

I listened to a Medical Doctor a few days ago say “one of the major keys to succeeding is believing in something.” Truth is, not everyone knows what to believe in or why they should believe, and if that’s you, I hope this blog guides you to set your eyes and your heart on the creator of heaven and earth.

God has given me a platform and I plan to use it to the glory of his name alone. My prayer is that this blog will enable us all to grow together as one body under one God, the only true God. For those who are not familiar with the God that I speak of, you are not here reading this by mistake and my prayer is that as you follow me through my journey with him, you too will get to know him and love him just as he loves you.

Stay tuned. There’s so much in store for us all. I’m excited to see how God will use me to impact you all, but more so how this will impact me.

  1. Omg I was just praying this morning asking God to grant me the spirit of Discernment to know the difference between the things of him and those of world because sometimes like you pointed out we’re convinced that A life of God and world are so similar and that it’s normal/okay to be both. But it’s crazy you remind us that God and the World are 2 EXTREMES. As in their quite opposites and as the scriptures says the flesh and spirit are in CONSTANT conflict with each other so how can we actually live a life that glorifies God and world simultaneously when the spirit and flesh share no commonalities? Great post ChiChi and God bless you!

    1. Yes ! That’s exactly it. Sometimes it looks so confusing to the point where you actually start to convince yourself that there really is no difference but there is, there has to because like you rightfully they are two extremes. Glad you were blessed girl ! Thank you, God Bless you too !
