“I call you Son. I call you Daughter. I am your FATHER ….” -ABBA

I am a Daughter. This is one of the greatest things I’ve learned. And everyday I walk in this truth.

This was God’s plan all along. This was His desire, that we would be SONS and DAUGHTERS of His, through Jesus Christ. As children of the KING OF KINGS, we have an inheritance. That means that everything that belongs to our Heavenly Father, we have access to because having been adopted into His family, we have become heirs. “Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory” (Romans 8:17). As Children, and as Heirs, we have access to His Power, dominion, authority and so much more.

Don’t let FEAR rob you if your SONSHIP/DAUGHTERSHIP.

Fear comes from NOT KNOWING who God is. The scripture tells us in John 4:8 that God is love. Everything He does is because He loves, it’s who He is. I want to encourage you today to spend time with your Father, get to know Him so that you actually feel comfortable calling Him Father. You’re no stranger to Him and He shouldn’t be one to you. Live in His love daily and rejoice because you are His child.

These were the words the angel of the Lord spake unto Mary when he informed her that she would conceive and give birth to a son named Jesus. Mary was a virgin, she never knew a man so of course this seemed impossible, crazy really. But because it was the will of God, He would bring it to successful completion.

Many of our situations, our dreams, our plans, the desires of our hearts, they may not resemble Mary’s exactly but to many people and to even ourselves, they may appear too big, impossible.

Son, Daughter of the King, be reminded today, just as the angel told Mary, “with God, nothing shall be impossible.”

When God is in it, there is NO LIMIT… as long as you have made God your foundation and put your trust in Him, let your mind and your heart be at peace. Do not be discouraged because of what someone told you. What did God say? Have you spoken to Him? Have you asked Him? Have you made your request known to Him? His opinion is the only one that matters because He is the only one that can make your dreams a reality. He is the only one that can bring your vision to fruition.

He is the one who makes ways where there seems to be no way. He STILL does miracles. He’s the same God yesterday, today and FOREVER. If He did it for Mary, He can sure enough do it for you! Don’t worry, don’t be discouraged. Take heart.

But remember, it is only through Him.

Less of me and MORE of YOU. This needs to be an everyday declaration. This needs to be the cry of our hearts ALWAYS.

Funny enough, many of us utter these words often but do we really know what they mean?

As believers we are the light of the world, the salt of the earth. It is through us that souls would learn of and come to Christ to be saved (only He can save, we can only help lead them to Him). However, it is difficult to lead someone to Christ if when they look at you, they can’t see Him.

So when we cry “God, less of me and MORE of YOU”, we are saying “God, I don’t want them to see me, I want them to see YOU”. Because truthfully, this isn’t about us. Your life is bigger than you. Your purpose is bigger than you. What you’re carrying, someone needs but it can only be manifest once you surrender it to Christ because it’s for His glory.

What does “less of me and More of you” look like daily? Like this: constant PRAYER. Renewing your mind daily. Comparing and measuring your life, your habits and ways to SCRIPTURE and NOT to the life of others.

Ask yourself, who is greater? GOD or me?
Am I holding on when I should be letting go and letting God? Am I reacting instead of going into Prayer? Do I love those who have proven difficult to love? Am I selfish in my ways? Your answers to these question will let you know who is greater, God or you.

I pray that we would submit ourselves daily. It is in our submission that transformation occurs. Then we begin to look like Him and sound like Him. And when people see us, they would see a reflection of Him. I want to encourage you today to truly, sincerely and earnestly yearn for and actively pursue MORE of GOD.

This sounds like a drastic statement to make at first glance but let’s really think about it. What kind of impact would there be if EVERY BELIEVER were spiritually awake? If we are all on FIRE for Christ, what’s stops that fire from spreading, causing the entire world to be on fire for Christ?

The problem is this: many of us (myself included) grow/have grown lethargic. We get apathetic, losing interest and energy. This often happens unexpectedly, sneaking up on us and if we’re not careful, it can be a cause for disaster. Of course we don’t wish to be lukewarm or weak Christians, but it is possible for the fire to burn out.

So how do we ensure that our fire does not burn out ? How do we keep our faith alive? We have to work at it constantly and renew our oil often. The oil will keep the fire burning.

There are 3 ways you can ensure this:
1. By continually deepening your prayer life (remember, prayer is the Key)
2. Studying the Bible (this coupled with prayer is how we get revelation and learn the will of God and what He desires for us)
3. Fellowship (community is important. You can’t do life alone. No man is an island)

My prayer for us all today is that we would be resolute and alert Christians. That we would not grow lethargic, but if or when we do, we would acknowledge it and tap into the grace and strength of Jesus to grow out of it. I pray for increased desire to communicate with God and to learn of Him and from Him. I pray for Godly communities. Ultimately I pray that the fire in our bellies would never burn out; instead, that it would grow so much so that those around us would be saved and begin to burn for Christ.

When Jesus uttered the words “It is Finished” as he took his final breath on the cross, it wasn’t the END but the BEGINNING. Jesus successful completed the work which he set out to do and what followed was redemption, freedom, victory. The reconciliation of our relationship with God came after this moment. “It is finished” didn’t just mean victory over the past or in the present moment but also in the future and forever.

It is graduation season; I myself am a 2019 graduate (congratulations class of 2019!) and a lot of us have uttered these same words “It is finished” or maybe “it’s over” or rather “I made it”. These are different phases but they all infer similar meanings: that we have successfully completed the work that we set out to do in school. We accomplished the goal which was to get our degrees (High School Diploma, Bachelors, Masters, Doctorates), but your victory doesn’t end here. This is only the beginning. You’ve accomplished this; you shall see the fruit of your labor.

We being SAVED sons and daughters of the Most High are the fruit of Christ’s labor. He came and He died for us and here we are in the flesh, living witnesses. The fruit of your labor will be you furthering your education and receiving another degree or entering into the workplace and dominating. You have all the tools you need to succeed, you’ve made it thus far, don’t limit yourself now. Most importantly, you have God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit in your corner and with them you are already victorious, you’ve already overcome and overtaken. The fun has just begun my fellow graduates! Sit back, buckle up and enjoy the ride! I can’t wait to see and to hear all the great, beautiful and amazing things we all go on to do and to accomplish. This milestone truly is JUST THE BEGINNING.

Growing up, I remember being taught that “Prayer is the key… the Master’s key. Jesus started with prayer and ended with prayer”. We used to sing it as a song in children’s Sunday school and it was cute but as I got older, I’ve learned that this is really FACTSSSS ! Prayer is the key to intimacy with God because it fulfills the purpose which God had for salvation. The purpose of salvation is for the relationship that was lost between us and our Heavenly Father to be restored & through the shedding of His blood on the cross, Jesus broke all barriers to this relationship. Through believing in Him and calling on His name, we are able to communicate with God in prayer. Prayer is how we express our thanks, our faith and our love to God. It is also how we receive assurance, answers and revelation of who He is and what He wants for us to do. Never stop praying. It really is the key that opens many doors !

What is Shame? It is a deadly, destructive emotion. It is a feeling of humiliation that results from the consciousness of wrong doings, things we aren’t proud of. Shame causes you to be self conscious, feel powerless, worthless and ultimately it makes you want to hide. Often shame pushes us to hide in all the wrong places. We hide behind social media, in toxic relationships, facades. Shame makes us hide FROM God when we should be hiding IN Him. Shame is one of the major tactics the enemy uses to draw us away from God. Shame says you are guilty and deficient but today, Jesus wants you to know what he says: “you are GUILTLESS and my GRACE is sufficient for you in ALL of your weaknesses” He explains this to us in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. He also tells us in Romans 8:1 that there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus. So if your ABBA Father has not condemned you, son and daughter of the Most High, why do you condemn yourself? You can run TO God, it’s okay. His love does not discount you, He isn’t going to judge you because you’ve done wrong. Today, make the decision to no longer give shame control; rather, rest in the power of Jesus and His Love.

Life isn’t always great but God is ALWAYS good. He promised that although sorrow may endure for the night, joy comes in the morning. And this isn’t to be taken literally. There may be many sorrowful nights but know this: it won’t last forever. Dark times will pass, you will get through it, the clouds will clear up and the sky will shine because God is faithful. So in every situation, no matter what it looks like, say “thank you Jesus” because He is going to bring you out & there is a reason for the struggle. God has a purpose for every single thing. Every event He allows to happen, it’s for a reason. The struggles of today are for the testimonies of tomorrow.

Isaiah 30:21

Today, know that ABBA is right there with you. He’s keeping His promise to NEVER leave nor forsake you. Remember that He is always speaking and directing our paths, it’s just a matter of us being attentive to His voice and opening up our hearts. If you need direction today in any area of your life, whatever situation, you can say this quick prayer:

“Dear ABBA, thank you so much for life, for your love. Thank you for I know that you have never left me nor forsaken me; you are a God of your promises, Yahweh. I know that you have all the answers, you know all the ways. God you make ways where there seems to be no way. God, in (insert area/situation) I need your guidance, I need your direction. I’m not sure what to do, what to say, Lord help me. Show me the way. Open up my heart and my ears to hear your voice. Guide my path Father and glorify yourself in my life. Thank you ABBA. Amen”

Just in case you needed a reminder as you start this new day, this new week. Your ABBA Father wanted me to remind you that you are ALREADY loved. You don’t have to earn His love. There’s nothing you can do to make Him love you anymore or any less than He ALREADY does. His love is perfect, unconditional, never ending. He loves because He is God and He is Love. Walk into today knowing this if nothing else: “ABBA loves me”. Say it to yourself, say it to others. He wants you to know this and to never forget it.

The word of God says that we are sound in mind. This means that our minds have been delivered, protected, and brought into safety and security by his Holy Spirit. Consequently, we no longer have to be affected and bound by the illogical, absurd and crazy thoughts that once consumed or tried to consume our minds. Rather, our minds are now safeguarded by the word of God and thus, our emotions too are safeguarded. So when the enemy comes and tries to assault you mentally and emotionally, feeding you all sorts of negative and false information, you have the power and the right to tell him to SHUT UP!

Today, I urge you to declare by faith that you have a sound mind that is safe and secure in God. Ask God to guard your mind in his word and safeguard your emotions.

img_3433-1.jpg

God your word says that we ought to fill our minds and meditate on things that are true, noble, reputable and authentic. Things that are compelling and gracious. You want us to think the best of things and not the worst. You want us to focus on beautiful things and not ugly things. So today God we ask that you would teach us what is true and noble. Lord teach us and help us to understand and identify what is reputable and authentic in your sight. Those things that you consider to be compelling and gracious, make known to us Father. Help us God to always see the best in things, we don’t want to focus on the worst, on the bad. Instead God, open our eyes that we may see the beauty in things. These are the kinds of things you want our minds to be filled with and so God help us to desire these things. Grow us so much so that in all our thoughts we question whether they are true, noble. We want to be more like you, so help us God. Amen.

God, today we ask that you would give us the desire for a mindset of growth. We want to grow. We don’t want our thoughts to be fixed. We don’t want to think the same way we’ve thought for years. We don’t want to think the same way our ancestors thought. We don’t want to think the way the world thinks. We want to think like you God. God we desire what you desire for us. Help us to search and study your scriptures daily and learn of you. Lord reveal your will to us. We want you God. Let our minds be like that of our Savior Christ Jesus. Thank you God because you’re growing us. No longer will we reason as we did in the past. We ask for fresh understanding and new insight, that which only comes from you.

In your name we pray Jesus, Amen

This scripture tells us that we should bring all things to God in prayer and that then he would guard our hearts and our MINDS. Thus, the first step to take in the process of renewing your mind is to Pray. In this prayer you are simply asking God to renew your mind. However, you must believe (have faith) that God is able to change and renew your mind.

Somethings you can include in your prayer are asking God to reveal unto you how to use his word to cleanse your mind and also your body and soul. Just let God know that you don’t want to think those negative thoughts but only those things that are of Him, which he desires for us to think about primarily.

You want to also acknowledge that this transformation that you desire will not occur overnight. Thus, you might want to pray for patience and strength to wait upon God as he takes you through this process.

I pray that today you would make the decision to seek God concerning the renewal of your mind, as a means to grow more intimate with him.

img_3310-1

God tells us in Romans 12:2 that we ought NOT to be conformed to this world that we live in, but rather transformed by the RENEWAL of our minds. So what does this mean? Let’s break it down…

We live in a world, surrounded and encompassed in a whole lot of negativity and foolery to say the least. While in the midst of these things, it’s very easy to become consumed even subconsciously and that’s why we have to make a conscious effort to renew our minds daily.

The scripture says that we should be TRANSFORMED by this renewal. Undergoing transformation means that there is a thorough change. So, eliminate all the ideals and customs of this world but take up and internalize what the word of God says. We have to change our attitudes and our outlook on matters and situations. This is the only way we can begin to acknowledge and accept what God has for us and what he wants to do through us. But all this can only be done through faith.

The world will tell you so many things contrary to what God says but when you’ve renewed and continually renew your mind by going back to the word, you will be able to discern the things that you hear and see.

So how do we renew our minds?… Come back tomorrow and find out !

Matthew 7:7

This morning I was listening to a short sermon by Pastor Steven Furtick titled “fixing your relationships”. He touched upon FOCUS being a tool in relationships and the fact that we actually choose what we magnify. And it’s not surprising that what you magnify is what you will get more of because at a certain point in time, you begin to block out everything else and that’s all you see. He tied that to the concept of us finding those things that we look for, this includes good AND bad.

This reminded me of this scripture Matthew 7:7. Often times it’s not that God isn’t giving us what we want because I mean, clearly he knows the desires of our hearts. It’s that we aren’t making the conscious decision to ask for those things nor are we working toward them. We are lazy. LAZY! That’s just the bottom line. We have to learn to live by ACTIVE faith. We can’t be passive. Seek and you WILL find. Jesus didn’t say you MIGHT find, he said YOU WILL ! But it’s a matter of you making that decision, and turning your focus to that thing that you’re looking for. Many times what we’re looking for is right in front of us but we aren’t looking so we miss it, then we go back and ask God why our prayers weren’t answered.

But they were, you just choose not to open the eyes and see it.

Psalm 121:8

Today I was reminded of the promise God gave us for divine protection. I thought about all the terrible accidents that happen all the time, sometimes only a short distance from where we may find ourselves in that moment. And I can’t help but imagine, what if that were me? Thank God for his grace and the fulfillment of his promise concerning me everyday. The fact that you are able to leave your house, go about your day, and return safely in one piece is only by his doing. We ought to be eternally grateful for this.

The More I seek You by Kari Jobe (Gateway Worship)

This song is my heart poured out. It really comes from a place of deep sincerity and longing. If you listen to the words you’ll really be awe. Each time I’m like WOW! Like, Yes God! I want to sit at your feet, drink from the cup in your hand and really lay back against you and breathe AND feel your heart beat! How beautiful would that be, to hear the heart beat of God. I don’t know, it’s just so amazing to think about and too unbelievable to fathom. However, truly making the decision to know God is the best decision one could ever make. Every moment there’s something new to discover and the more we uncover about our beautiful Lord, the more we fall in love.  It really is the most beautiful love story ever written and it is continually being written everyday that you walk with him. Continue basking in his overwhelming love and his unending peace.

James 1:2-3

All I can say is YES, YES, YES! We all know this journey we have willingly decided to take up is not easy. It’s not meant to be. You will have trials ! The one’s you deserve, the one’s you don’t deserve, but they’re all helping to build your faith. This scripture to me is really saying that we need to learn to appreciate every season that we find ourselves in. There is no success without a struggle. We really only understand the essence of something when we’ve been through it and it has impacted us. That’s what our trials are. Situations that we pass through, which in the moment may not be pretty, but the impact it leaves on us which is the strengthening of our faith, is the reward. It’s okay to feel a little overwhelmed, but never let those feelings consume you. There is a greater purpose to what you’re passing through. Also, remember: You can’t stop the waves. You have no control over the trials and the temptations. However, you can learn to surf. You can persevere. Use what you’ve learned in prior situations and build on that. Most of all, know that God is with you and he would never give you more than you can bear. You’re his child; he knows you.

Psalm 118:6

This is one of my favorite scriptures because it reminds me of the supremacy of God. Literally with God, there’s nothing that ANYONE can do to stop my greatness. What God has spoken concerning me will stand and I have the boldness to purse my dreams and walk in his plan because I know he’ll always be there to back me up and guide me even when others are against me. I pray that reading this, you will begin to walk in BOLDNESS. You are sons and daughters of the Most High God. People can do and say what they like, but they can’t stop you. God will cause them to help you attain the greatness he has destined for you, as long as you stay with him and in him. Fear is not from God. Be confident in your father.

07.18.18

img_2213.jpg

God’s time is the best time. As humans we have a tendency to try and force things to happen when we want them to happen. This is what often leads to frustration and stress. If we would only humble ourselves, accept and appreciate the season that God has us in, and allow his plan to fall into place. Life would go much more smoothly. Whatever we achieve on our own, can not and will not last.

However, when God is involved and he places you somewhere, it doesn’t matter who doesn’t agree or has a problem with it, there’s nothing they can do other than watch you flourish.

I pray that we call learn to be humble and accepting of wherever God has us now. He’s setting you up for something greater and in due time, his time, it will come to manifestation.

07.17.18

I was having a conversation today and I expressed how happy I was. Soon after, I realized that this was more than happiness and it was something I had been feeling for the longest. It was joy, genuine joy. Even when people get on my nerves or I’m stressed out by a situation, this thing it NEVER goes away and it gives me so much peace. That’s the difference between joy and happiness.

Happiness comes and goes, it’s dependent on situations and circumstances. Joy is invariable.

I really didn’t understand what Joy was until I went through a really dark time, came out and could actually smile again. I really thought I would get over the weight of my sadness and my brokenness but after it all passed, I really felt renewed and l had so much joy! Pure Joy ! And that only comes from God. When I thought I’d lost a part of who I was, he reminded me that my identity is in him.

Joy is such a beautiful thing, and I pray that you all experience it. Things and people will come and try to steal your joy but I pray that you are never shaken and that you never lose sight of the only one in whom your identity lies.

This morning during my devotion on @shereadstruth I was reminded of who I was before Christ, a lost sheep. This made me so grateful for who I am now in Christ: a saved, redeemed, restored, loved daughter.

Its so easy to forget where you came from or how things used to be, to become prone to spiritual amnesia, when everything is going well. While we shouldn’t dwell on the past, its important to remember because it keeps us continually grateful. It makes us appreciate God more for who he is. Without him, you would have still been lost. Can you just take a moment to think about that? Where would I be had it not been for God?

I personally couldn’t imagine and I honestly don’t even want to. I know that there was certainly a time what I thought what I was doing was “living my best life” as we say now (haha)… but truthfully, now in Christ I am living my VERY BEST LIFE, and nothing can compare to this.

We’ve all been that lost sheep who wandered off, thinking we were on our way to freedom. Or maybe you are currently that lost sheep and you’ve acknowledged that. If you’re tired of running, then run no more. God is after you, but he can only get a hold of you if you let him. He’s coming to find you and making a way for you to come home. In him you will have the freedom you’ve been looking for.

Today’s song is You Know Me by Bethel Music and Steffany Gretzinger.

As I sat through the sermon today at church, I was so amazed at how God really knows each of us individually. Every detail concerning you, and concerning me, he knows. You would think that because there’s so many of us, he’d miss something but he doesn’t miss a single thing. Not even the smallest detail, the things we think are insignificant, they matter to him and he acknowledges them.

He is one God but his relationship with each of us is personalized and special. The way God speaks to me isn’t the same way that he speaks to you. How he corrects me, isn’t how he corrects you. He deals with us as the unique individuals we are, but even in his dealings, he doesn’t discriminate. We are all his children and he loves us all the same.

Always remember, he knows YOU.

Matthew 10:8

What has God done for you? What illness were you healed of? What have you been delivered from? What terrible situation have you been saved out of? Think of all these things; you should be able to answer at least one if not all of them. Recognize that God has been too good to us, and he continually is.

Now it’s our turn. We have seen and tasted the goodness of God, and it is not our responsibility to pass it on to someone else. Through us people can have a connection to the Almighty. You don’t have to be a doctor to pray healing over someone. Nor do you have to be a counselor to speak encouraging words. The little you can and are willing to do goes a long way.

Someone is looking to you for their encounter with God, so what are you showing them? You ought to show them how easy it is to knock on Heaven’s door. Show them the kind of God you serve. Let them also partake in the comfort, peace and hope that you were freely given.

Be the light at the end of someone’s tunnel today.

Acts 2:40

Peter made this plea ages ago to the crowds he preached to. He urged them to get out while they still could. It’s not surprising that this plea is very much applicable to us today as well. We live in a very corrupt generation, a corrupt nation, a corrupt world and that’s why we always have to take heart and keep in mind that although we live in the midst of the corruption, we are not part. We have been marked and set aside for God’s divine use and ultimate purpose. It’s easy to get caught up, that’s why we have to stay prayed up and surround ourselves with like minded people who are strong in faith, who can help and uplift us in any area where we maybe falling short. Be active, be wise and vigilant.

Learn to encourage yourself in ALL situations. Whatever it may look like, that’s not the end of your story. There’s more chapters to be written, this is only giving you inspiration on what to write next. Always be reminded of his promises. All things are working together for your good, according to his purpose. Joy will come out of this pain. Strength will be born. Wisdom will be gained. Not everything that is good to us is good for us, it’s often the opposite. When I realized this, things made more sense and I had to keep reminding myself that good would come out of my situation and greater things are coming out of yours.

1 Corinthians 16:14

Have I mentioned how important love is? It’s important to God because he is the true definition of love and he does everything in love, thus he encourages us to do the same. Love is best seen in actions, so how are you showing your love?

Our attitudes and behaviors should reflect God’s love. Jesus said that only two commands are needed to govern our lives: love of God and love of our neighbors. What do they have in common? Love

So are you convinced of its importance yet?

Just want to inspire you today with some words from Amanda Bible Williams:

“The Gospel is not only for the moment Christ calls us to repent and follow him. It is for every moment before and every moment after. It is for our times of fervor, and our times of doubt and despair. It is for the day we stand basking in the bright light of hope, and the day we hide, Head in hands, in the dark corners of our fear.

It is for the hour that just passed and the hour to come, the situation we just stepped out if and the one we’re walking into. We need it every minute. The gospel is our oxygen.

But, here in our temporary home, the gospel can seem intangible and hard to hang on to. So where do we turn when the heavy blanket is closing in, when we’re in the dark, gasping for air?

We turn to God’s word.

When we turn it’s pages and take in its truths, the very breathe of God fills our lungs, our heart, our mind, our soul. Whether we come to him doubting, praising, weeping, laughing, His word is for us and it is true. In this ever fading world, God’s word will never fade. We can approach it in any condition, under any circumstance, and IT IS STILL TRUE. “

Couldn’t have said it more beautifully myself.

All about you by Anita Wilson

So, you should definitely add this song to your playlist. It’s upbeat and fun but most of all it has a really important message. It reminds us that it’s not about us, it’s about God. It reminds us that we are alive because of his grace. It reminds us that through him we can do ALL things. It reminds us that no weapon fashioned against will prosper because he’s got us covered. Really, we’re nothing without him. Don’t lose sight of that and strive continually to pursue the things that please him.

1 Corinthians 13:12

I don’t know about you but I’m excited for the day when I get to meet my savior. Ok, well maybe I’m more anxious to be exact. I don’t know what I’ll feel like or what I’ll do or say. But I do know this. I long to know God just as much as he knows me. I want to know what makes him sad and what makes him extremely happy. I want to be totally free with him and in him and that’s what gives me motivation to keep going on this journey. Everyday I learn a little more and it draws me closer, keeps me wanting to know more. Right now we only see glimpses of God, sometimes we barely understand. It’s like a mystery almost, but little by little we’ll uncover more depths. And one day, we’ll get to see him in all of his glory.

Hebrews 12:6

Yup. TRUE love. He corrects because he loves us. He disciplines because he loves us. He punishes because he loves us. God wants us to be the best versions of ourselves and he knows that we can be that’s why he shows us tough love sometimes. All it means is that he truly cares. In fact, what happens is that hopefully we learn and our relationship with him deepens. When you’ve been dealt with by God, I promise you it’ll make you love him even more because it’ll have you wondering why he loves so much to the point that he cares what decisions you make and how you live your life. When you realize that all this time he’s really been saving you from yourself you’ll really be in awe.

Truth is, we upset God with our actions and he has every right to be angry with us, but the beautiful thing is, he doesn’t stay angry. He loves us and he’s a JUST God. He’s very fair , so you will face the consequences but it’s not to hurt you. It’s to teach you and grow you, but most of all, it’s one of the ways He shows His immense love for you and me .

Micah 7:18

There is no one like our God. What he does for us no one else could ever do. What’s even better is why he does all that he does. Because he loves us and he DELIGHTS in showing mercy. God never stays angry at us, he constantly forgives us because he’s a merciful. He doesn’t judge us for all the mistakes we make, but is always willing to give us another chance. His love is just that great, it doesn’t make what we do right or acceptable but it does show that he’s a good good father. His love covers a multitude of sins, it really does.

This verse also reminds me of the song Mercy by Amanda Cook… “My past embraced. My sin forgiven. I’m blameless in your sight. My history rewritten. ‘Cause you delight in showing mercy. And mercy triumphs over judgment”

Let that sink in .

No scripture today. Just something to keep in mind:

God promises PEACE. He never said there wouldn’t be pressure or storms of life. Things are bound to happen, but peace allows us to stay calm even in the storm. Peace is NOT a temporary escape. We aren’t supposed to just have moments of peace, it should be a place where we abide. Truth is, that’s only in God. When we abide in him, we have his peace. True peace, which the world could never offer.

Romans 8:33-34

Guilt is an attack on the mind from the enemy. I’ve been there too often sadly and if you’re there, please forgive yourself. Don’t believe the lies of the enemy. Jesus already paid for your sins, you don’t have to put yourself through hell. Repent, believe in his forgiveness and move on. A life of guilt is no life to live. It’s only filled with anxiety and no peace of mind. God doesn’t want that for us, that’s why Christ paid it all many many years ago. What he did back then, it still applies now, and is applicable to every sin.

“Guilty Christians are not joyous Christians. They cannot enjoy close fellowship with the Savior. They cannot be bold in witness. They cannot confidently disciple others. They usually end up living as hypocrites, putting up a front in fear that the truth about their sin will be exposed.”

These words are not mine but the truth in them pierces deep. I’ve been there and I know it’s not fun and it’s so crazy because at some point I did start to feel like a hypocrite and then that started to eat away at me too. We have to learn to forgive ourselves just as God forgives us. God’s answer to guilt is that we’ve already been justified through Christ. There’s no more condemnation so don’t let the enemy deceive you. God wants joy and peace for you. He wants you to be bold and confident, don’t you want that too?

Just let it go. You live and you LEARN. Don’t let the enemy hold this over your head. God’s already declared you NOT GUILTY, so it’s God’s word vs. the enemy’s… who’s are you going to believe?

Ephesians 3:8

If you’ve been feeling a little uncertain about why God has called you, this is for you. If you’ve been feeling unworthy and inadequate, this is for you. I just want to let you know that he chose you for a reason & his grace is sufficient. He will make up for all those qualities you think make you unqualified and unfit to fulfill what he’s called you to.

This definitely reminds of of myself. Before I took up a very important leadership position, it was like a tug of war. My mind, my heart, my soul, everything! I was just like God me? Really? Of ALL people , me? I really wasn’t trying to take the position, I feel like it took me the longest to respond and accept but funny enough when I did accept, all the stress was gone and I was at peace because that’s what God wanted. I had zero idea how I would be able to fill such a position but thank God for his grace, because he definitely made up for where I lacked. I am ever so grateful because this position has given me new insight and has grown me as a person in my totality.

And that’s the thing, when God is after you, there’s no running or hiding. God can use ANYONE. Even if you think you’re not worthy or unqualified, that’s a more reason why he can use you because through whatever you do, he will begin to reveal things to you, he will guide you and teach you. Just say YES, his grace is more than enough. He’s got you covered.

HAPPY NEW MONTH !

Today’s song is Be Still by Travis Greene

Be still for He is with you. Forever and always.

The number 7 symbolizes perfection & completion. The Bible tells us in Psalms 138:8 that God will perfect EVERYTHING concerning us. I want you to claim and declare that over your life this month. The work he is begun in you, he will complete.

I pray that this month we learn to trust. That we learn to be still, to listen for that still small  voice amidst the storm and all the noise. Know that He is in control and He is still God regardless of anything. He says he’ll handle all of our cares and he really will.

When you find that life is going to fast, that everyone around you is rushing to a destination that they can’t even see, take a moment and pause. Be still and listen for His voice. Make an effort to do it God’s way this month. He has a plan laid out, take the steps in the order that he’s presented them, for he knows best. He is GOD.

06.30.18

Acts chapter 5 starts off with the sin of Ananias and his wife Sapphira, which cost them their lives. They lied to the church and basically to God. The puzzling thing here was that no one asked them to bring the money. They came to the agreement together to lie about the amount they received for the land, I’m guessing they were trying to make themselves look good in front of the church to make it seem that they were doing something good for God. But little did they know that God cannot be fooled.

This just goes to show that God doesn’t need anything we have to offer, he’s not begging for us to give him anything but if we decide that we want to give and serve him, we have to be ALL IN. We can’t half serve God, he deserves much more than we could ever give him and trying to outsmart him is impossible. Be REAL with God, just like he’s real with us. That’s the least we can do.

06.29.18

James 3:10

The book of James really puts a lot of things into prospective for us. James is blunt and real.

This verse right here really got me when I first came across it and every time I read it it’s really a reminder and it forces me to reflect and examine myself.

This verse talks about the importance of watching what comes out of our mouths. It literally says that praise and cursing should not come out of the same mouth. Does it? Sadly, yes of course. But it ought not to be so. I’ve said a lot of crazy, ridiculous things out of this mouth of mine and I’m sure we all have at some point. But really when we think about it, how does it look? Using the same mouth that we use to speak filthy words to praise God? It’s quite unsettling when you really think about it.

The same way we guard our hearts and our minds, we need to learn to guard/control our tongues. But honestly, if we’re really guarding our hearts and minds, then unrighteousness things wouldn’t be coming out of our mouths. That’s the truth of it. Out of the abundance of the heart so the mouth speaks , the Bible tells us in Matthew. Also, keep in mind that what you say has POWER more than you think or know. Always strive to speak positive words and LIFE to your situation, to yourself, and to those around you. You never know, your bondage or your stagnancy could be as a result of things you’ve spoken into existence without even realizing so be careful. Be mindful and reflective of what you say and how you say it.

06.28.18

Philippians 4:6

Learn to always go to God in prayer concerning all things. I can say from experience that I have a tendency to want to come up with solutions to every problem even when I know there isn’t a clear one or that it’s something out of my control . I’ve learned to seek and ask God for answers instead of stressing myself out. The answer doesn’t always come right away but it puts my heart at ease to know that I’ve committed it to my father.

God always wants to hear from us. He loves the sound of our voice & he delights in knowing that we trust and have exceeding faith which allows us to bring everything to him.

You don’t have to ever worry about a single thing. Just tell God, praise him for the outcome and believe it’s already done.

Acts 20:35

Did you give today?

I think many times we have the misconception that the blessing is what we physically receive. This is actually wrong, like the verse says, the true blessing is in giving. Being a blessing to someone else is a beautiful blessing in itself and I think we overlook that far too often. We’re always worried about what people are doing or not doing for us but we never stop to think and ask ourselves what are we doing for others?

I know you may be thinking I’m referring to something like money or physical assets but something as simple as a kind word or even a smile is more than enough for a lot of people, as long as it’s sincere. When we give, what we experience within from knowing and seeing the impact of our giving in the life of another person can’t be topped. Just imagine how you feel when you receive from someone. Now imagine making someone genuinely feel that way. Isn’t that amazing ?!

We need to start asking questions like “what can I do with my hands?” & “who can I bless with my presence?” Don’t be bothered by what you need, you’ll receive more than you give. However, remember that you can’t reap if you don’t sow.

Who are you being a blessing to? Let’s act on this word. Go on and give.

James 1:5

All you have to do is ask. There’s no tricks or jumping through hoops. God isn’t like that. Whatever you want, he’s got it. Quit searching for what you already have in him.

This scripture specifically speaks about wisdom, which Proverbs 4:5 refers to as the principle thing. With wisdom comes the ability to make sound decisions and to comprehend. There’s no proper navigation through life without wisdom.

God has infinite wisdom and he’s willing to give, if only you desire and ask. It’s free, so get it.

Ephesians 6:12-13

We make the mistake of thinking that our enemies are people. We waste time and energy being mad, using hateful words and criticizing our sister, brother, wife, husband, and friends when they’re not the ones we should be worried about. Truth is, you tearing them down is tearing yourself down. If you fight them, you’re losing because we’re on the same team.

This scripture tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in the spiritual realms. We can’t physically see what/who were fighting against, that’s why it’s important to be spiritually mature and in tune. We are urged to put on the armor of God. We have to equip ourselves with the tools and weapons that God has provided us, so that we can be victorious. Our minds and our hearts have to be conformed with that of God.

That situation or that problem is more than what the naked eye can see and what we can physically comprehend. But with your spiritual eye and knowledge through the help of the Holy Spirit, you will be victorious. Yes, God fights for us more than we know because we can’t physically see the battle but as we grow and mature in the spirit, we are empowered to fight against the enemy, but of course still not on our own. Always with God by our side.

Would you make a declaration over yourself today? Just lay your hands on yourself and say “It’s my winner season. EVERYTHING attached to me wins. I will win.”

You will win by Jekalyn Carr is a powerful  song. (You can listen below or on the playlist to the side.)

Listening to this song and making these declarations and truly believing them always give me so much hope. A lot of times we feel defeated, broken, weak but we serve a GREAT God. In our weakness, his strength is made perfect. I don’t care what your situation looks like, if God brought you to it, he is faithful and will bring you through it. I know it looks crazy and impossible for you to make it to the other side but my God is a God of impossibilities.  He works miracles, and makes ways where there seems to be no way. He opens doors which NO MAN can shut. If he spoke it over you, THAT’S IT! It doesn’t matter what they said or what it looks like. It’s God’s word against theirs, who are you going to believe?

God has called you victorious. He said you are a conqueror. You are a winner, so start acting like one. Walk in your victory. It’s already yours.

Galatians 6:2-3

One of the greatest things I’ve learned in life is that we can’t make it on our own. We need God but we also need each other.

I used to think I could make it on my own. I kept my thoughts and my feelings to myself and I thought I was doing myself and everyone else a favor. I listened to other people’s problems but never thought it ok to share mine, like those things that really kept me up at night. My mental health was garbage and I was carrying so much weight that I had gotten used to. To the point that I didn’t even feel it anymore.

But I really thank God for the young women in this photo, those who aren’t shown and all those God has put in my life who have shown me his love and carried my burdens with me.

This is what God wants, for us to love on and uplift each other. No one is better off than the next person, don’t ever let yourself think that. We’re all struggling with something. Even if someone doesn’t tell you and they look “ok”, there’s no harm in asking. A simple “how are you doing?” or “what’s on your mind today?” could save someone’s life. Never be afraid to ask and to intercede on the behalf of others.

We ought to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. We can’t say we love God if we can’t even love and care for those around us.

Mental health and well-being is important.

I really challenge you to love on someone today. Check up on an old friend or someone you’ve been distant with lately. Just ask how they’re doing.

This is truly my prayer for you all today, that God would fill you with overwhelming joy and eternal peace. That which only comes from him.

When you trust in God, you never have to worry. Even when things seem to be going left, you have assurance that God is already working it out. When you trust in him you don’t have to stress. Who doesn’t want to live a stress free life? God doesn’t want you to be anxious all the time. He wants you to always be hopeful, joyful and happy in him. He wants your mind and your heart to be at complete peace, that’s his desire for you.

But you have to desire it for yourself and truly understand that true joy and peace, that never fades, only comes from and is found in Him.

John 11:35

This is the SHORTEST scripture in the Bible but it has so much significance.

I never really understood why Jesus wept, but taking the time to read John 11, the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead, I was able to pick up on one of the reasons why Jesus wept.

Jesus has a strong compassion for suffering. He knew that he was going to raise Lazarus but witnessing the grief that Mary and Martha, sisters of Lazarus, were experiencing, he felt for them.

God does not delight in our sufferings. Although he allows us to pass through certain things so that we can grow, he does not delight in our pains and suffering. He demonstrated this through Jesus.

It seems odd that Jesus would cry, but he wants you to know that he knows what your pain feels like and he’s right there with you. He’s your comforter. Vent to him. He listens and he speaks. He loves and he heals.

img_1506.jpg

I don’t have a scripture for you all today, but just these words of encouragement.

I really want someone to believe that your best is yet to come. Stop comparing your journey with everyone else’s. You’re unique. Your battles and your victories aren’t meant to mirror theirs.

It may look like you aren’t winning right now but God hasn’t forgotten about you. Keep holding on and doing what you’re doing, there’s breakthrough on the other side of this door but you have to get to the door first.

Be persistent and intentional in your walk. Stay faithful and committed. You will be celebrated, but at the appointed time.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Can we just appreciate the GRACE of God?

When we accept Christ as our Lord and personal savior, surrendering our life to Him, we are instantly transformed. Our slates wiped CLEAN.

It doesn’t matter how big you think your sin might have been, his grace is BIGGER. Just dwell on that for a moment.

This is the power of Faith. It allows us to receive the free gift of God. We didn’t merit it. Jesus didn’t have to come down and give his life for you, but he did. That’s how much he loves us. So much that he suffered so that we could have life and have it more abundantly, but the only way to access this abundant life is through HIM.

Maybe you’re wondering if God can truly forgive you for whatever it is you’ve done. I’m here to tell you that he can and he will if only you confess to him. His grace is more than enough to cover every and any sin.

You don’t have to be afraid. You’re his child and he loves you, his arms are open wide, waiting to embrace you. You just have to take the steps toward him. You can be made new, the question is do you want to?

Proverbs 18:24

If there’s one thing we can all agree on it’s the fact that not everyone can be called a friend, and friendship is important.

This scripture says that having too many friends can cause us to become broken and ruined. I also believe that having no friends can have the same results. No man is an island. God created Eve for Adam to be his partner but more so because he did not see it fit for Adam to be alone. God doesn’t want us to be alone. Yes, he is with us even when no one else appears to be, but human contact and relationship is just as important.

The relationships we have with our friends are very crucial; that is why we have to be wise in picking and choosing those we call friends. You want people who you can learn from and also teach. You want people who you can BUILD WITH, not someone who will break you down. Friends should challenge you to be a better you, to reach you fullest potential. A friend is someone who you can confess your sins to and not worry about how they will perceive you afterwards. A friend loves at ALL times and gives more than they take. A friend corrects and rebukes. If you can’t tell your “friend” that what they’re doing is wrong, and vice versa, I’m sorry but that’s not your friend. You both are doing each other a disservice.

The scripture says that a true friend sticks closer than a brother. It sounds crazy at first but think about it. You don’t choose your siblings, but you choose your friends and they choose you, that’s what makes the relationship what it is. True friends are rare, that’s why we value them so much and when you’ve found one it’ll be clear as day. When you find such a friend, you keep them.

Always remember, you can’t just have a friend. You also have to be one.

Examine your circle. Are you surrounding yourself with those worthy of being called friends? Are you exemplifying those characteristics that would qualify you as a friend?

Shout-out to all my TRUE friends, my brothers and sisters in Christ. I love y’all!

Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads out there, and most importantly to the FATHER OF FATHERS!

Today’s song is Good Good Father by Casting Crowns.

This song is sang by many artists but what makes this version special is the little synopsis at the end. It really puts things into perspective; I encourage you to take a listen below.

God is our Father, among many other things, but often times we forget this. We think of him distantly, only acknowledging him when we need something or when we’re in trouble. It ought not to be this way but the reality of it is that it is. But this doesn’t stop him from loving us. That’s what makes him a good good father. He loves us so much that even when we didn’t love him, he allowed Jesus to give his life for you and me. His love for us is IMMENSE!

The part I love most in this song (I mean, I love the whole song but this part sticks out A LOT) is the bridge: “You are perfect in ALL of your ways to us”. It just makes me think about all the times I didn’t get what I prayed for or when God took me on a whole different route than what I was planning. And it just makes me love him so more because he saw ahead of what I could see, he knew the outcome when I didn’t even know the beginning. He’s perfect in that he knows all things and he knows what’s best for us.

He loves us regardless of what we’ve done or didn’t do. He’s a Good Good Father.

Happy Father’s Day Abba. I love you.

Psalm 23:1

God is the shepherd, we are His sheep. This is an interesting analogy because the reality of it is very striking.

Sheep have a natural tendency to wander off, go astray and possibly get lost. This is why they are totally dependent on their shepherd, who cares for them and finds them, bringing them back home.

Tell me this isn’t us and God!

We like sheep have a strong tendency to go astray following the lusts of our flesh. We wander away from our shepherd, rejecting him and breaking his commandments. The dangers in this are suffering attacks from the enemy because he knows we’ve come from under our covering and that we have no power of our own. Also, many times when we stray too far, we run the risk of forgetting the way back to God.

But the beautiful thing is, a sheep knows the voice of its shepherd. So all God has to do is call out. He always comes to find us. Remember this: You didn’t find God, he found you. You were the lost sheep, not Him.

We are totally dependent on God for survival. Everything we need is in him. Safety, protection, direction, love, peace, you name it! We find it all in Him. There is no you, no me, without Him. The very life we have is because of the air he breathed into us.

Never take Him for granted. When you have Him, you lack nothing because he truly is EVERYTHING.

Acts 16:26

The story of Paul and Silas being freed is just AMAZING !!!! They prayed. They sang. And God came through!

The word that makes the story all the more interesting is “suddenly” in verse 26. God is a sudden God, he is not predictable at all !! That’s one of the things I love about him. The way he works is really mind blowing & this is something I’ve experienced many times and it never gets old. Every time, EVERY SINGLE TIME I am mind blown because even though I know that he will do it eventually, his timing is always PERFECT and the way he presents himself is always just like WOW ! It even says in the verse that the earthquake was so POWERFUL and the foundations of the prison were SHAKEN! Like Yes God ! Yes ! Lol, but I didn’t expect less, there has to be a scene because he had to make his power known.

Ultimately, there’s power in prayer and power in praising/ worshiping God so I pray we never cease to do either. The same way he showed up for Paul and Silas, he will show up for you ! … just have faith.

This verse is exemplary of a role which some of us have been called to: being forerunners for Christ.

Who is a Forerunner? One who goes ahead of something or someone and proclaims the coming of something GREATER.

John the Baptist (spoken of in Isaiah 40:3-5) was a forerunner. He prepared the way for Christ. He stirred up hope in the hearts of people, preparing them for Christ’s coming.

Characteristics of a forerunner:

1. Knowing the father. Communing with him, remaining close and totally depending on him

2. Have eyes into heaven, being able to see further than others.

3. Forerunners take the risk to say yes

4. They’re not spectators, not necessarily teachers but demonstrators. They are doers of the word

5. “He must increase and I must decrease” Forerunners never point to themselves

Are you a forerunner?

Matthew 26:41

We all get tempted, its apart of life. It’s normal. What’s important is how you deal with the temptation. When we respond or give in to our temptations, that’s when there is a problem.

So you may ask: how do I overcome temptation?

You do exactly what this scripture says: Watch and Pray. It’s important to be watchful and take caution. Be mindful of situations and opportunities. Be mindful of your thoughts, words and gestures. Always ask yourself are these things aligning with the word of God and His purpose for my life? After you’ve done this assessment, you pray. Ask God to help you. Ask him to increase your desire for Him and the things concerning Him. This will help us withstand temptation, because we can’t do it on our own.

Like the scripture says, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Many times you have the right intentions and good inclinations. You are sincere, but unfortunately, all this is overcome by your lack of confidence. You truly long to continue steadfast in your adherence to God’s word, but your fears will often lead you to give in to those things that are not of Him, causing you to stray.

But there’s great news: this doesn’t make you unworthy or cause Him to love you any less. He sees your honest effort and he acknowledges that. You just have to assess what happened, take ownership of it and go back to your father. I promise He’ll always be there to receive you with open arms. Yes, there will be consequences but it’s all to help you mature and grow.

Psalm 65:6-8

Have you ever just sat back and pondered how GREAT God is? He is truly amazing. Just look around you. The sky, the trees, the oceans, you, me! He created it all. This Psalm (I encourage you to read it) is glorifying God for his power and goodness. It reminds us to praise Him for who He is, not necessarily what he’s done. Many of us have formed the habit of only thanking and ascribing praise and glory to Him when we believe He’s done something for us. However, truth is, He’s already done so much more than that one thing you’re waiting on. He created a beautiful home for us, He gave us life. What’s better than that? When we acknowledge this and acknowledge how sovereign He is, we have so much peace and confidence in Him.

If the roaring seas and their waves are stilled by Him, how much more that situation? You have to boast in your God! Rejoice because ALL power and authority belong to Him. He is loving, forgiving, and generous. Take heart my bother. Take heart my sister. God is working on your behalf. If He can take care of the birds of the air, how much more you, His child?

Proverbs 4:23

Just as there are many diseases and disorders that can affect the physical heart, there are many ailments of the spiritual heart that can impair growth and development as a believer. That’s why this verse is so important. It says ABOVE ALL that you guard …

It’s been said that the mind of a man reflects who he really is, not simply his actions or words. This isn’t exactly true. Before we think anything with our minds, we’ve thought it first in our heart. This is why God examines the heart of a man, not simply his outward appearance and what he claims to be. Life begins at the heart.

It is very important to watch what you’re feeding your heart. What are you watching? What are you listening to? Who are you hanging around? Make sure all these things are bringing positivity because the heart is easily infested. Even if you think that you haven’t been corrupted, pray about it because once it’s in your heart, even if you’re not aware, that negativity will begin to manifest in your life so you want to take precautions.

Just 3 things to keep in mind:

1. Without guarding our hearts, no noble life is possible

  • The heart is the center of the personal being. It’s not just where affections flow from but also moral purpose
  • The heart is the man… your heart is YOU

2. There is no effective guarding unless God guards

  • We have to constantly pray and ask God to help guard our hearts

3. There is no keeping by God without faith

  • He can only help if we believe in HIM

Fill Me by Jaye Thomas:

Song and music are very powerful. They are often ways to make declarations and can even serve as prayers when taken seriously. This song I believe is a song of desperation.

Many times we listen to songs and we sing the lyrics but we’re not really sure what we’re saying, it just sounds nice. We have to get out of that habit. There’s a meaning behind everything, every song. What this song may mean to someone may be completely different from what it means to someone else but what matters is the sincerity.

This song says “come and fill this temple with Glory” meaning you’re declaring and confessing that you are the Temple of Christ. You’re saying God, this body is for you, it’s yours and I want your Glory to fill it, fill me.

“I want all of you to come fill all of me”. We always say God less of me and more of you. Well, this is literally that but more so, God NONE of me but ALL of you!

How far will you let me go? How abandoned will you let me be?” This right here is the desperation in this song, and it gets me every single time. It’s kind of counter intuitive because God is never far from us and he never has and never will abandon us, but these questions show a sense of urgency. Like, God I want you NOW. Not later, not tomorrow, not next week, but right now. I don’t want to wait another second so how much longer God?!

The lyrics are below as well as the song. Feel free to listen and really meditate on the song. And if this is truly your hearts desire, open up, be sincere. God sees you, he sees your heart.

Come and fill this temple with Glory

I want all of You to come fill all of me

I want all of You to fill me, fill me

How far will you let me go?

How abandoned will you let me be?

How far will you let me go?

Come and fill me, Jesus, fill me.

Come and fill me, Jesus, fill me.

How far will you let me go?

How abandoned will you let me be?

Come and fill me, Jesus, fill me.

Come and fill me, Jesus, fill me.

Acts 17: 24-29 MSG Version:

I think understanding these verses are a major key for Christianity. If you read the entire chapter, you can see how Paul was preaching/ teaching these people about God and Christ but it wasn’t sticking with them. It didn’t quite make sense because of the perception they had. They lacked the understanding that God was not created by human hands. He made humans, just as he made the earth and everything in it. I truly believe that’s where the problem lies for a lot of non-believers and even many believers, grasping the idea that God is just God all by himself. This concept is often the root of our doubt in who God is. He was not made or carved by hands but instead, we were made and carved by him and we have life because of the breath which he breathed into us.

And I really love verse 27 in the NIV translation: “God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not too far from one of us.” It’s as beautiful as it sounds, but also heartbreaking. God gave us the world, he gave us life and all He wants is for us to acknowledge him, but many of us can’t even do that much. The MSG version above says, “God doesn’t play hide and seek with us.” It’s not a game, he’s not trying to trick you. He’s given himself freely and poured out his entire heart through his word. What more can we ask for?

Ephesians 2:10 MSG version:

This verse is really why and who God has called us to be. We are God’s masterpiece, perfectly crafted with skill and purpose. God created us for His use, to do good works. That’s why we received salvation: so that we can do good works, because that is the ultimate result of salvation.

Understand that we are not saved by our good works. Salvation only comes by FAITH. However, once saved, we receive the power through the Holy Spirit to do the works which He has set out for us. The Holy Spirit produces fruits in us and our desire to please God grows as our understanding of who He is grows, and this prompts us to do those good works that will glorify Him.

God has a plan for each and every individual which he mapped out even before time began. The Bible even tells us in Jeremiah that he knew us even before we were in our mothers womb, how beautiful is that?!

You were made to worship him, to do the work of His Kingdom. There’s a purpose for you, and he will reveal it to you if you seek after him.
